About

Miranda Pellegrino is a Rhode Island native and has called New Bedford, Massachusetts her home since 2013. Since childhood Miranda was determined to be an artist. She was encouraged by her elementary school art teacher to ‘shoot for the stars’. Miranda’s energy, enthusiasm, and passion for art is infectious in the classroom environment and beyond. Currently, Miranda works as a freelance illustrator and art teacher. She often works with acrylic or watercolor as well as digital technology to create artwork.  Miranda is inspired by modern art and cartoons so she tends to juxtapose her realistic paintings with light-hearted goofy children’s illustrations. Her art is characterized by its vibrant color palettes, high contrast, and bold lighting. With a wealth of knowledge and skill, she is uniquely qualified to teach visual arts to students of all ages.
